MADISON, Wis. -- The Mercyhurst women's ice hockey team was eliminated from the NCAA Tournament as it suffered a 6-0 loss to second-ranked Wisconsin on Saturday.

Sarah McDonnell had 35 saves, but the Lakers (19-11-5) were unable to hold off the Badger onslaught.
Sarah Nurse had one goal and two assists for Wisconsin (35-3-1), which had six different players record multi-point games.
Sam Cogan scored the game's first goal for the Badgers at the 8:26 mark of the first period. From there, host Wisconsin led the rest of the way.
Jenny Ryan added a goal for UW in the first, Sydney McKibbon and Emily Clark scored in the second, and Nurse and Baylee Wellhausen put in Badger scores during the third.
The Badgers outshot the Lakers, 41-22. Winning goalie Ann-Ren Desbiens had all 22 saves for the Wisconsin shutout.
Mercyhurst went 0-for-4 on the power play while Wisconsin was 1-for-4.
