ERIE, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst men's basketball team will host West Chester for a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference matchup on Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Mercyhurst Athletic Center.
The Lakers are coming off two PSAC contests last weekend in which they split, defeating Bloomsburg before falling to East Stroudsburg. WCU also split last weekend in PSAC actino, falling to Slippery Rock and defeating Edinboro.
Mercyhurst's leading scorer is
Durrell McDonald, who is averaging 17.1 points per game.
John Majors (10.6) and DaJuan Dent (10.1) are also averaging double-figures. Majors also averages 5.0 rebounds per game while Dent is at 4.6.
Stephen Spurlock Jr. has been the Lakers' leading rebounder thus far in 2016-17 with 5.4 boards per game.
H'ian Hale chips in with 4.6 assists and 2.3 steals.
The Golden Rams (4-4, 3-1) are led by Malik Jackson, who has scored 23.3 points per game, and Matt Penecale (13.5ppg, 5.0apg).
West Chester leads the all-time series between the programs, 6-3, although the Lakers have won the last two contests, including last season's PSAC Tournament final in West Chester.
