Men's Ice Hockey Scores Two Unanswered Goals to Win 2-1

WATERTOWN, Mass. -- The Mercyhurst men's ice hockey team scored two unanswered goals to win 2-1 over Atlantic Hockey opponent Bentley on Friday.
 
Seniors Kyle Dutra and Philippe Drouin each scored one goal and tallied one assist while freshman Brendan Riley and junior Zach Todd tallied one assist apiece.
 
Bentley's lone goal was scored by Matt Riggleman.
 
The Falcons' only goal of the game came during the first period, giving the hosts an early 1-0 lead.
 
Dutra got the Lakers on the board at 13:47 in the second period to tie the game 1-1. Brendan Riley and Drouin had the assists on the tying goal.
 
During the last 20 minutes of play, Drouin grabbed his first goal of the season on the power play to put the Lakers on top for good. Dutra and Todd picked up the assists on the game-winning goal.
 
The Lakers went 1-for-6 on the power play, while the Falcons went 0-for-6.
 
Junior goaltender Brandon Wildung stopped 37 out of 38 shots on net while Falcons goaltender Jayson Argue saved 29 out of 31 shots he faced.
 
The two teams will return to action on Saturday at 7:05 p.m.
