Quarterback Doug Altavilla had a solid outing, completing 18 of 22 passes for 243 yards and two touchdowns. Tight end Bryce Mostoller had five grabs for 72 yards. Wide receiver Clay Waldron added a touchdown reception.

Seniors shone bright on the defensive side of the ball as defensive back Tarique Ellis totaled nine tackles and a 27-yard interception-return touchdown while linebacker Jakob Plonski, defensive back Dorian Stevens and defensive linemen Benji Abercrombie and Conall Ryan tacked on one tackle-for-loss each.

The Lakers jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter when Altavilla found Sanders for a five-yard touchdown hookup.

The Mercyhurst advantage extended to 14-0 when Robinson broke off a 34-yard touchdown run.

The visiting Bald Eagles (4-7) trimmed the deficit to 14-7 when quarterback Caleb Walton found wide receiver Kyeef Williams, who dashed 58 yards for a score.

From there, the Lakers scored the next 35 points. Sanders had TD runs of 1, 22 and 3 yards. Ellis added his touchdown and Waldron caught a 39-yard touchdown pass from Altavilla.
