Box Score EDINBORO, Pa. – The Mercyhurst volleyball team dropped a match against Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) competitor Edinboro University November 11th. The Lakers were unable to take a set from the Fighting Scots losing the first three in the match. The Scots took the sets with scores of (15-25) in set one (24-26) in set two and (9-25) in set three. This loss drops the Lakers overall record to 15-13 while falling to 7-10 in the PSAC.
Senior
Sarah Wegrzyn led the scoring for the Lakers and recorded seven kills throughout the match.
Hannah Tombaugh aided the Lakers offense by recording a team high of ten assists. Behind the service line
Samantha Giardina recorded two service aces, and
Makayla Mollé had one. On the defensive side of the ball
Haley Adams registered a solo block. To accompany there were four block assists spread among Adams, Tombaugh,
Lauren Kenny, and
Katie Baird equally.
The Lakers will play again tomorrow November 12th on the road against Slippery Rock Univeristy at 2 PM.
