Box Score ERIE, Pa. – The Mercyhurst women's basketball team started their season off with a win defeating West Liberty, (69-53).
 
The leading scorers for the Lakers was Angela Heintz and Natalie Piaggesi who tied in the category with a game high of 19 points each. Heintz also supported other scorers on the team recording six assists on the game.  Alex Artise was the Lakers number one rebounder having a total of ten (three offensive, and seven defensive), followed shortly by two team mates recording eight each Piaggesi (five offensive and three defensive), Jessica Bell (two offensive and six defensive). Piaggesi lead the team in blocks recording three on the game.
 
The Lakers will take the court next tomorrow November 12th against Notre Dame College (Ohio) at home at 5 PM.
