Box Score ERIE Pa. - The Mercyhurst volleyball team lost a close four set game to Kutztown in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action on Ocober 28th. Despite the Lakers coming into the match dominating the first set 25-14 was not enough to derail Kutztown from claiming the next three with scores of (19-25), (23,25), and (21-25). With this loss Mercyhurst's overall record drops to 12-11, while falling to 4-8 in the PSAC.

Senior Lauren Kenny led the Lakers in points registering 13 kills as well as three block assists to the teams overall points. Sarah Puckett was the second leading scorer having 11 kills and registering a team high four service aces. Sarah Wegrzyn, came in just under double digits having 9 kills, but had three aces from the service line, and 13 digs. Shelby Chesko and Alyssa Kling each recorded eight kills apiece. Senior Samantha Giardina led the team in digs recording 20 throughout the contest. Assists were spread out between Abbey Rose with 21 and Hannah Tombaugh with 11. Senior Haley Adams had a solo block and a block assist at the net.

The Lakers are scheduled to play next tomorrow October 29th agaisnt East Stroudsburg on the road, at 1 PM.
