Box Score ERIE, Pa. - Thom Derks scored a hat trick in game against Gannon, sealing the Lakers as the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) regular season champions. During the PSAC action on October 25th the Mercyhurst Lakers men's soccer team defeated the Gannon Golden Knights with a score of 4-1. 

Gannon lead the game at the half, 1-0 until Jorge Gonzalez found the net after dribbling to the net and scoring an unassisted goal 50:43 into the second half. Thom Derks then scored two goals back to back in less than a minute at 59:11 and 60:31, both of which were assisted Jorge Gonzalez. Derk's last goal did not come until 73:12 assisted by Pat Darby he gathered a bouncing ball, shot by Darby and was able to drive it home. 

The Lakers have one last regular season game left of the season and are set to square up against Millersville in Erie, Pa. at 3:30 PM October 29th. With this win the Lakers have secured their title as PSAC regular season champs and will have the honor of hosting the PSAC conference tournament at Mercyhurst soccer field November 1st, 4th, and 6th.
