OFFICIAL GAME NOTES

THE GAME
The Mercyhurst football team will visit Seton Hill for a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division contest on Saturday, Oct. 22. The host Griffins are set to celebrate their Homecoming. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m.

The Lakers are coming off a 45-16 home loss to Edinboro on Oct. 15. On that same day, Seton Hill played across town and lost to Gannon, 34-12.

Saturday's matchup between Mercyhurst and Seton Hill will be the fourth meeting between the two programs. Mercyhurst leads the all-time series, 3-0.

THE COACHES
Marty Schaetzle (Bucknell '83) is in his 15th season as head coach for Mercyhurst. He owns a 76-85 record. He is a three-time PSAC West Coach of the Year (2008, 2010, 2014) and has coached the Lakers to two PSAC West regular-season championships (2010, 2012) and one PSAC overall title (2010). Prior to coaching at Mercyhurst, Schaetzle has held assistant coach positions at Bucknell, Shippensburg, Northern Arizona, Sonoma State, Arizona and Albany.

Isaac Collins (Rochester '94) is in his fourth year as head coach for Seton Hill. He has a 36-37 record as a collegiate head coach. Collins is 11-29 at SHU and wawas 25-8 for NCAA Division III Widener. Lustig was previously an assistant coach for The Citadel, Delaware, Holy Cross, Lehigh, Columbia and Hobart.
 
NEXT UP
The Lakers will host nationally-ranked California (Pa.) for a 12 p.m. kickoff on Saturday, Oct. 29.

The Vulcans are currently rated No. 8 in NCAA Division II. Cal is 6-0 overall and 4-0 in the PSAC West. The Vulcans will host Gannon for a 3 p.m. matchup.
