Box Score ERIE Pa. – The Mercyhurst volleyball team lost a game, three sets to none, against cross town rival Gannon in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action on October 11th. The Lakers record dropped to 11-7 overall and 3-4 in the PSAC. The Golden Knights improve to 16-2 overall and 5-1 in the PSAC.
 
After dropping the first game 25-13, the Lakers went on to score an early lead in game two. However, their offensive was not enough and Gannon was able to win the second game 25-21. Gannon then sealed its victory in a hard fought third match eventually prevailing at the end with a score of 25-22.
 
Senior Lauren Kenny lead the Lakers in scoring posting a team-high 11 kills, she also earned two block assists. Senior Sarah Wegrzyn, also added nine kills a service ace to the scoreboard. Other players of note were Makayla Mollé recording an ace and 15 assists, along with Hannah Tombaugh who also had an ace while recording 18 assists. Haley Adams and Sarah Puckett both recorded an ace a piece throughout the game.
 
The Lakers are scheduled to compete next at home Friday October 14th, against Seton Hill Griffins at 7:05 P.M.
