ERIE, Pa. – The Mercyhurst men's basketball team will host Indiana (Pa.) tomorrow night at the Mercyhurst Athletic Center (MAC). The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division matchup will tipoff at 7:30 p.m. The Lakers split a pair of games last week, to bring their overall record to 16-7, 13-5 (PSAC). Indiana (Pa.) comes into Wednesday 20-3, 14-3 PSAC.
 
Mercyhurst ended a two game skid Saturday afternoon at home, beating Edinboro, 61-53. With the win, the Lakers clinched a PSAC Tournament bid for the fifth consecutive season. Gerrae Williams was the only player to score in double-digits, posting 13 points on 9-of-10 shooting from the free-throw line. The defense held the Fighting Scots to just 32.8% (19-58) shooting from the field, and forced 15 turnovers, nine coming from steals. Mercyhurst ranks 13th in the country in scoring defense (62.2 ppg), 14th in turnover margin (4.2) and 35th in free-throw percentage (74.4%).
 
Indiana (Pa.) is coming of a key victory over Gannon at the Hammermill Center, 64-54, to take sole possession of first place in the PSAC Western Division. Devante Chance led the Crimson Hawks in scoring, posting a game-high 18 points and recorded five steals. IUP is sixth in the country in scoring defense, holding opponents to 61.3 points per game. The Crimson Hawks also lead the conference and are 38th in the country in field-goal percentage, shooting 48.7% from the field.
 
Mercyhurst has beat the Crimson Hawks at least once the past five seasons, making them the only program to accomplish that feat. Mercyhurst received their second victory at Indiana (Pa.) in its last 13 trips earlier this season on December 3, 65-62. The Crimson Hawks were currently ranked fifth in the country. The series has been tight the last three season with Mercyhurst winning four of the last eight.

At halftime of both the women and men's game, fans will be randomly selected to participate in a game of knockout for a chance to win a $10 gift certificate to the Cornerstone.
