ERIE, Pa. – The Mercyhurst women's basketball team will travel to John Carroll University to take on Ursuline College in a non-conference matchup. Saturday night's game is scheduled to tipoff at 6:00 p.m. at the Tony DeCarlo Varsity Center.    
 
The Lakers dropped a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division matchup at home Wednesday night to Seton Hill, 70-68. Mercyhurst held a slight rebound advantage over the Griffins, 37-36, due to Natalie Piaggesi's seventh double-double this season. She recorded 11 points and grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds. Piaggesi is leading the Lakers in points and rebounds, averaging 15.0 points and 7.7 rebounds. Mercyhurst ranks 2nd in the PSAC in field goal percentage, shooting 44.0% from the floor.
 
Ursuline is coming off a loss to conference foe Alderson Broaddus, 96-88. The Arrows are seventh in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (GMAC) and are averaging 67.1 points per game. They are third in the conference in three point shooting percentage, shooting 33.3% from behind the arc. Makayla Rosselot is fourth in the GMAC in scoring, pacing the arrows, averaging 13.4 points a game. Three starters average double-digit scoring for the Arrows. Emma Ricketts leads the team in rebounding, grabbing 6.9 boards a game.
 
 
Mercyhurst and Ursuline will faceoff for the first time in history Saturday night at John Carroll University. The last time Mercyhurst faced off against a non-conference opponent was December 10 at home versus West Virginia Wesleyan. The Lakers came out victorious, 86-64, and are 2-3 against non-conference opponents this season.
