ERIE, Pa.- The Mercyhurst field hockey team heads to Indiana (Pa.) on Tuesday, September 9. The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) match is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start.

The Lakers are 1-1 this season. They won, 6-1, at Dowling on Friday before dropping a 3-2 overtime decision at Adelphi on Sunday. Blair Pembleton and Marissa Faso have each scored two goals, while Tracey Mason has a goal and an assist. Jess Wess has made 10 saves in goal.
 
IUP has yet to play in 2014. The Crimson Hawks were voted to finish sixth in the PSAC Preseason Coaches' Poll. Jess Kida returns after leading the team with 10 goals. Indiana has advanced to the PSAC Tournament in each of the last three years.
 
Last season, Mercyhurst won, 3-2, at IUP. Mason scored the game-winning goal at the 65:30 mark and Wess tallied 16 saves in goal.
