Field Hockey Heads to #2 Shippensburg Saturday (Video)

Emily Koestler and the Lakers will travel to #2 Shippensburg Saturday.
ERIE, Pa.- The Mercyhurst field hockey team heads to #2 Shippensburg on Saturday, September 20, for a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) match. The game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start.

Mercyhurst is 3-2 overall and 2-1 in the PSAC this year. It won, 4-3 in double overtime, against #10 Slippery Rock on Wednesday. Blair Pembleton led with a goal and two assists, while Andrea Goldbach scored the game-winner midway through the second OT.
 
Shippensburg has a 3-1 record, including a 1-1 PSAC mark. The Raiders are coming off a 2-1 home win over #7 East Stroudsburg on Saturday. Tori Ricker scored late in the second half to push Ship past the Warriors. Ship won the 2013 NCAA Championship.
 
Pembleton paces the Laker attack with five goals and a pair of assists. Marissa Faso has scored four goals and Goldbach has two goals and three helpers.
 
Ricker leads Ship with four goals in four outings. Ally Mooney has started three games in goal, making eight saves and allowing two goals.
