ERIE, Pa. – The Mercyhurst women's basketball will make the short trip to McComb Fieldhouse Saturday afternoon for a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup. Tipoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.

Mercyhurst has been competitive with Fighting Scots as of late. Last season, the Lakers suffered a tough loss at McComb Fieldhouse, 64-61. It would have marked the first win at Edinboro since 2002, 78-73. Mercyhurst's last win over Edinboro came in the 2011-12 season at the MAC, 59-58, in overtime.
 
Mercyhurst suffered their fifth sixth loss (1-6, 0-3 PSAC) of the season Wednesday, December 3, at Indiana (Pa.), 65-45. Natalie Piaggesi led the Lakers in scoring with 10, as Mercyhurst had 11 different players score during the contest. Mercyhurst's leading scorer, Adrienne Kloecker, was held to one of 11 shooting from the floor and was 0-5 from three-point range. Mercyhurst shot 20-60 (33.3%) from the field. 
 
Edinboro comes into Saturday's contest losing three straight games (3-3, 1-2 PSAC) and dropped out of the top 25. Their latest loss came to the hands of Slippery Rock Wednesday night, 57-66, on the road. The Fighting Scots had three players score in double digits with Laurel Lindsey leading the way posting 17 points. Edinboro went 4-23 (17.4%) from behind the arc and only shot 21-66 (31.8%) from the field. The Fighting Scots are averaging 62.5 points per game and 38.1% shooting from the floor.
 
At Saturday's game, Edinboro will be hosting a Toys for Tots day. Anyone who donates a toy before the game will receive free admission.
