ERIE, Pa. – The Mercyhurst women's basketball team prepares for a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup at Indiana (Pa.) Wednesday night.
The Lakers split two non-conference games last week, beating Tiffin at the Mercyhurst Athletic Center (MAC), 91-79, Tuesday night.
Adrienne Kloecker dropped 31 points for her new career-high. Kloecker shot 13-22 (59%) from the field and was 5-10 (50%) from three-point range.
On Saturday, Mercyhurst traveled to Findlay, Ohio where they suffered their fifth loss of the season, 60-91. Kloecker led the Lakers in scoring with 19, as
Alex Artise and
Natalie Piaggesi each scored 11. Piaggesi also added nine rebounds, one short of her second double-double of the season.
Indiana (Pa.) is coming off a, 85-52, win over Shepherd Wednesday at home. It marked the fifth Crimson Hawk's victory of the season. IUP was led by Leslie Stapleton, as she scored 20 points, and Lindsay Stamp added 17. Indiana recorded 18 assists and shot 77.8% (21-27) from the free-throw line. The Crimson Hawks currently have four players averaging double digits in scoring.
The Lakers split a pair of meetings between the two schools a year ago, upsetting Indiana (Pa.) at the MAC, 73-64, on January 11.
