ERIE, Pa. – The Mercyhurst women's basketball team will host two Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) crossover matchups against Eastern Division opponents West Chester and Cheyney Tuesday and Wednesday. Both contests are scheduled for 5:30 starts at the Mercyhurst Athletic Center.
The Lakers are coming off their second consecutive non-conference home win after beating West Virginia Wesleyan, 86-64, Wednesday, December 10. The team shot a season-high 60.3% (35-58) from the field and made nine three-pointers

Natalie Piaggesi led the Lakers in scoring, combining for 42 points, as they each pulled down seven rebounds. Four Lakers finished the game in double figures and seven registered assists. Mercyhurst assisted on 23 of the 35 made field-goals. Mercyhurst is shooting 44.9% from the field this season which ranks third in the PSAC. They are also averaging 7.2 made three-point field goals which ranks sixth.
West Chester is the Eastern Division leader, coming into Tuesday's game with a 7-0 overall record and are 4-0 in PSAC play. The Golden Rams are second in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) in scoring offense, averaging 81.7 points per game, and is second in scoring margin with 19.0. They are also shooting 44.9% from the field. West Chester is coming off an overtime victory at Shippensburg, 76-73, to remain undefeated on the season. Dallas Ely leads the Rams in scoring, averaging 17.4 points per game.
Cheyney will come to the MAC Wednesday night, as they are currently seventh in the PSAC East Division with a 1-7 overall and 1-2 in conference. The Wolves are averaging 57.4 points per game and are shooting 42.1% on the year. Cheyney will travel to play Edinboro on Tuesday before Wednesdays meeting with the Lakers. Kyra Hines-Allen leads the wolves, averaging 12.9 points per game and nine rebounds.
