Box Score 2 EDINBORO, Pa.- The Mercyhurst volleyball team split two matches on Saturday afternoon, beating Pitt-Johnstown and falling to Lock Haven. The Lakers lost to the Eagles in five games and then swept UPJ in a pair of Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) crossover matches. Both contests were played at Edinboro University.

In the sweep of UPJ, the Lakers won by scores of 25-22, 25-13, and 25-16. Kelly registered 41 assists, while
Rachel Crittle scored 13.5 points and
Sarah Wegrzyn put up 13 points.
Samantha Giardina recorded 16 digs.

Against Lock Haven, the Lakers fell by scores of 26-24, 20-25, 25-18, 15-25, and 15-13. Vitt recorded 49 assists. Wegrzyn led with 18.5 points and 16 digs.
Erin Byrnes added 15 points and
Lauren Kenny had 12 kills. Giardina compiled 27 digs for the Lakers.

Mercyhurst is now 14-6 overall and 9-4 in the PSAC. It plays at Wheeling Jesuit on Tuesday, October 14. The non-conference match is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start.
