ERIE, Pa.- The Mercyhurst women's basketball team opens a three-game home stand by hosting Millersville on Wednesday, January 8. The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) crossover is set for a 5:30 p.m. start at the Mercyhurst Athletic Center.

The Lakers are 3-9 this season after splitting two crossover games last weekend. They fell, 78-73, at West Chester before winning, 79-65, at Cheyney. Mercyhurst has a 2-3 mark in crossover play entering Wednesday, which is the last day of interdivision action this season.

Millersville is 6-6, having alternated wins and losses in its last six outings. It beat Slippery Rock, 68-55, and then lost to Edinboro, 74-67, last weekend. The Marauders have gone 2-3 in crossover action.

Alayna White leads the Lakers, averaging 15.3 points and 8.9 rebounds per game. She ranks 12
th in the PSAC in scoring and fifth in rebounding. She is shooting 53.1 percent from the field, fifth-best in the league. She spearheads Mercyhurst's strong rebounding attack. The Lakers outrebound their opponents by 7.2 per game, which is second in the PSAC and 38
th nationally.
Adrienne Kloecker is second on the team in scoring (13.4) and rebounding (5.8). She scored a career-high 26 points at Cheyney January 4.

Carly Gallagher is averaging 14.1 points per game to lead Millersville. Celeste Robinson is next with 11.2 points, while Yasmin Cooper is posting 9.5 points and 8.2 boards a game. The Marauders were chosen to win the Eastern Division, according to the preseason coaches' poll.
