ERIE, Pa.- The Mercyhurst women's basketball team heads to Pitt-Johnstown on Saturday, January 25. The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division match is set for a 2 p.m. start.

The Lakers have a 6-11 overall record, including a 4-3 mark in the PSAC. They drilled Clarion, 66-49, on Wednesday.
Adrienne Kloecker scored 23 points, connecting on 5-6 three-point attempts.
Alex Artise tied a career high with 15 points. Mercyhurst set season highs in assists (18), steals (10), and made three-pointers (10). It also allowed a season-low 49 points and forced the Golden Eagles into 28.6 percent field goal shooting.

UPJ is 6-11 overall and 3-4 in the league. It fell, 86-47, at #5 Gannon on Wednesday. Nicole Carman scored 11 points off the bench as the Lady Cats shot 28 percent from the floor.

Kloecker is in the midst of one of the top scoring streaks in program history. The Erie native is averaging 21.7 points per game in her last seven outings and has scored at least 18 points in all seven of those contests. She is the first Laker to achieve that feat in at least 16 years.

Alayna White is also having a stellar season, recording 13.6 points and 9.2 rebounds per game. Her seven double-doubles are second-most in the PSAC this season. The Lakers' next five highest scorers are freshmen, with
Natalie Piaggesi,
Alex Artise,
Katie Fischer,
Jessica Bell, and
Mariah Penascino combining to put up 33.3 points, 20 rebounds, and 8.4 assists per game.

Pitt-Johnstown has five players averaging double figures this season. Jasmine Harper is putting up 13.9 points and 8.8 rebounds a game, while Leah Hansen, Kayla DeCriscio, Kelsey Sleighter, and Carman are all averaging 10 or more points per game. UPJ leads the conference and ranks 10
th nationally with 8.6 made threes per contest.

Saturday will mark the programs' first meeting as conference opponents. The Lady Cats joined the PSAC prior to the 2013-14 school year.

Mercyhurst is on the road until February 8. It plays at UPJ, Seton Hill, and California (Pa.) before returning home to face Gannon.
