ERIE, Pa.- The Mercyhurst women's basketball team hosts Edinboro on Wednesday, January 15, to close a three-game home stand at the Mercyhurst Athletic Center. The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division contest is set for a 5:30 p.m. tip-off.

Mercyhurst is 4-10 overall and 2-2 in the PSAC Western Division. It is coming off its best game of the season, a 73-64 victory over #20 Indiana (Pa.) on January 11. Adrienne Kloecker scored 23 points, including 17 in the first half, while Alayna White recorded 18 points and 12 rebounds for her sixth double-double of the season. The Lakers outrebounded IUP, 42-26, in the win.
 
Edinboro has a 10-3 record, including a 4-0 conference mark. The Fighting Scots defeated Slippery Rock, 83-75, on January 11. Valerie Majewski earned PSAC Western Divison Athlete of the Week honors after posting a triple-double in the Scots' win over Shippensburg January 8.
 
White leads Mercyhurst with 15.2 points and 9.4 rebounds per game. Kloecker is averaging 14.6 points and 5.7 boards a game. Freshman Natalie Piaggesi is adding 9.7 points and 5.5 rebounds. The Lakers are outrebounding their opponents by 7.9 boards per game, good for second in the PSAC.
 
Majewski paces Edinboro with 16.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game. Aignee Freeland is averaging 13.1 points and 8.5 boards, while Hope Mancini and Laurel Lindsay are both scoring over 10 points a contest. The Scots lead the PSAC in three-point field goal percentage (38.1) and three-point field goal percentage defense (24.8) this season.
 
The Lakers are looking for their first win over Edinboro since February 22, 2012, when they upset the then-second-ranked Scots at the MAC. That win was Mercyhurst's last victory over a ranked team until its take down of IUP last weekend.
