Women's Soccer Falls at East Stroudsburg Saturday Afternoon

The Lakers play next Saturday against rival Gannon on September 21.

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa.- The Mercyhurst women's soccer team had its two-match winning streak snapped as it fell, 4-0, at East Stroudsburg in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) match Saturday afternoon. Ellie McDougall made four saves in net for the Lakers.
 
Shea Neal scored at the 9:32 mark to open scoring. East Stroudsburg followed with two more goals midway through the first half. Kerri McClay capped the action with a goal at the 52:10 mark.
 
Janine Wong and Kristina Roberti each put two shots on goal. McDougall posted four saves in goal. Brittain Wagner made eight saves for the Warriors.
 
Mercyhurst totaled 13 shots, while ESU tried 14. The Lakers earned five corner kicks to the Warriors' six attempts.
 
The Lakers are now 2-2-1 overall and 1-2-1 in the conference. ESU improved to 4-0, including a 4-0 PSAC mark.
 
Coach Keith Cammidge's squad returns to Mercyhurst Soccer Field for another PSAC contest on Saturday, September 21. Crosstown rival Gannon visits for a 1 p.m. start.
