ERIE, Pa.- The Mercyhurst women's basketball team will play at Indiana (Pa.) in a first-round Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tournament game on Saturday, March 2. Tip-off is slated for a 7 p.m. start at the Kovalchick Complex.

The Lakers went 7-19 overall and 7-15 in the PSAC during the regular season. They finished sixth in the Western Division, qualifying for the conference playoffs for the first time since the 2010-11 season.
 
IUP took third in the West after going 21-7 overall and 16-6 in the PSAC. The Crimson Hawks swept the season series with Mercyhurst, winning at home on January 26 and then taking a 72-64 decision at the MAC February 16.
 
Kaylee Foster is posting 10.7 points per game to lead the Lakers. Dana Banda is putting up 9.4 points per outing and needs five assists to tie the school's career record. Katie Lorincz is the current leader with 384 helpers.
 
Sarah Pastorek leads Indiana with 13.5 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. Marita Mathe is next with 10.8 points per game and a team-high 51 made three-pointers. The Hawks have six players averaging at least 7.8 points per outing.
 
The winner of Saturday's game will head to Edinboro for a PSAC Tournament quarterfinal on Tuesday, March 5.
