ERIE, Pa.- The Mercyhurst women's basketball team will play at Edinboro Wednesday, February 27, in the 2012-13 regular season finale. The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division contest is set for a 5:30 p.m. tip-off at McComb Fieldhouse.

The Lakers are 7-18 overall and 7-14 in the PSAC. They lost, 67-49, at California (Pa.) on February 23. All 12 Lakers scored at least two points in the loss, led by Kaylee Foster with 13 points.
 
Edinboro has a 20-5 overall record and a 17-4 mark in conference play. It beat Clarion, 69-60, in its last outing. Kiara Brown led with 23 points on her way to being named PSAC Western Division Player of the Week.
 
Foster leads Mercyhurst with 10.8 points per game. Dana Banda is putting up 9.5 points per contest and needs seven assists to tie the school's career record. Banda has 377 helpers, behind only Katie Lorincz, who dished out 384 assists in her Laker career.
 
Mercyhurst has clinched the sixth seed in the West and will travel to third-seeded Indiana (Pa.) for a first-round PSAC Tournament game on Saturday, March 2, at 7 p.m.
 
Brown is the Scots' top scorer at 17.4 points per game. Samantha Blazetic is averaging 15.2 points and 8.1 rebounds per outing, while Darche' Jackson is adding 9.7 points and five boards. The Scots have earned a first-round bye in the PSAC Tournament and will host the winner of the Mercyhurst-Indiana (Pa.) game. Edinboro is second in the NCAA Atlantic Regional rankings, released February 20.
 
Edinboro won, 63-46, at Mercyhurst last month. Brown scored 25 points as the Scots overcame 29 turnovers to win. Foster led the Lakers with 12 points and five rebounds.
