ERIE, Pa.- The Mercyhurst women's basketball team will host #9 Gannon on Wednesday, February 20, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division game. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m. at the Mercyhurst Athletic Center.
 
Prior to the game, the Lakers will recognize the seven Laker seniors on the roster. The Mercyhurst Alumni Relations Department is also hosting a pre-game reception at the MAC, beginning at 5 p.m. For more information, please click here.

The Lakers are 7-16 overall and 7-12 in the PSAC. They have clinched a PSAC Tournament berth and will go on the road in the first round of the playoffs. Mercyhurst lost, 72-64, to Indiana (Pa.) Saturday. Kaylee Foster scored 16 points and Alayna White added 14 points and five rebounds.
 
Gannon comes into Wednesday with a 23-3 overall record and a Western Division-leading 17-2 mark in conference play. The Lady Knights beat Clarion 79-59, Saturday. Jen Papich had 14 points and five rebounds, while Mollie Sebald recorded 13 points, hitting three three-pointers.
 
Foster is scoring 10.7 points per game to lead the Lakers. Dana Banda is averaging 9.3 points and needs 10 assists to tie the school's career assists record. She has 374 helpers in her career, while Katie Lorincz is the record holder with 384 assists.
 
Papich is the Knights' top player, tallying 13.3 points and 5.6 boards per outing. Brittany Batts has hit a league-high 79 treys this season, while Nettie Blake is posting 11.1 points and 7.3 rebounds per game.
 
GU won the first matchup between the teams earlier this season, taking a 59-43 decision at the Hammermill Center. White had 10 points and seven rebounds, while Blake paced Gannon with 17 points and 10 boards.
