ERIE, Pa.- The Mercyhurst women's basketball team hosts Indiana (Pa.) in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division game Saturday, February 16. The contest is scheduled for a 1 p.m. tip-off at the Mercyhurst Athletic Center.

The Lakers are in sixth place in the PSAC Western Division, three games ahead of Lock Haven with four games remaining in the regular season. With a win or an LHU loss, Mercyhurst clinches a PSAC Tournament berth. Gannon, Edinboro, Indiana (Pa.), and California (Pa.) have all secured spots in the conference playoffs. Fifth-place Clarion is a game ahead of Mercyhurst after winning, 51-49, over the Lakers Wednesday.
Mercyhurst is 7-15 overall and 7-11 in the league.
Kaylee Foster leads the team with 10.5 points per game.
Dana Banda is averaging 9.7 points and needs 10 assists to tie Katie Lorincz for the Mercyhurst career record. Lorincz finished with 384 helpers, while Banda is second on the list with 374.
IUP is 18-6 overall and 13-5 in the PSAC. It won, 59-51 in overtime, against Cal on Wednesday. Leading scorer Sarah Pastorek has missed the last six games due to injury. Marita Mathe is the next leading scorer with 10.8 points per outing.
Indiana won, 100-47, over Mercyhurst on January 26. Banda and
Taylor Krusinski each had nine points to lead the Lakers, while five Hawks put up at least 11 points in the victory.
