ERIE, Pa.- The Mercyhurst women's basketball team heads to Clarion for a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division game on Wednesday, February 13. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m. at the Tippin Gymnasium.

The Lakers have won two straight games, including an 80-72 win over Slippery Rock February 9. Mercyhurst put up a season-high point total, hitting 12-24 three-point attempts and 18-21 free throw tries. Freshman
Adrienne Kloecker scored a career-high 21 points, while
Taylor Krusinski posted new personal bests in points (12) and rebounds (7).
Clarion beat Edinboro and Slippery Rock before falling to Indiana (Pa.) February 9. Four Eagles scored in double figures, led by Hannah Heeter, who put up 15 points and 20 rebounds. The sophomore was named PSAC Western Division Athlete of the Week for her efforts. Raven Jones had 12 points and eight assists in the defeat.
Coach
Deanna Richard's group has a 7-14 overall record and a 7-10 PSAC mark. It is tied with Clarion for fifth place in the division. The top six teams in each division advance to the PSAC Tournament. Mercyhurst and Clarion are both in good position to qualify for the playoffs, but seeding is still to be decided.
Kaylee Foster leads the Lakers with 10.8 points per game.
Dana Banda is averaging 9.9 points and is moving towards the school's career assists record. The senior dished out five helpers on Saturday and now has 373 in her career. Katie Lorincz is the Mercyhurst leader with 384.
Heeter is the Eagles' top player, recording 14.4 points and a league-high 13.3 boards per outing. Jones and Tania Holmes both average 8.2 points per game.
Clarion won, 64-62, at the MAC last month as Holmes scored 16 points and Heeter grabbed 14 rebounds. Banda led the Lakers with a season-high 23 points.
