Women's Hoops Hosts Cal to "White Out Epilepsy" (Video)

The Lakers are raising epilepsy awareness Wednesday night at the MAC.
ERIE, Pa.- The Mercyhurst women's basketball team hosts California (Pa.) on Wednesday, December 4, at 5:30 p.m. The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division game is part of the Lakers' effort to "White Out Epilepsy".

Fans are encouraged to wear white to the game Wednesday as part of the "White Out Epilepsy" campaign. All proceeds from the night will go to the AJO Fund to support epilepsy awareness. T-shirts are available for $10 on campus or through e-mail at acampb81@lakers.mercyhurst.edu.
 
Mercyhurst is 1-4 overall and 1-0 in the PSAC. It dropped a 60-47 decision to #23 Ashland November 30. Alayna White recorded 17 points and 13 rebounds in the loss.
 
Cal has a 1-4 record, including a 1-1 mark in the conference. It defeated Slippery Rock, 79-52, November 23. Miki Glenn earned PSAC Western Division Freshman of the Week honors after putting up 23 points, nine rebounds, and six assists in the victory.
 
White leads Mercyhurst with 15 points and 9.6 boards per game. Adrienne Kloecker is averaging 13 points and six rebounds, while Natalie Piaggesi is posting nine points and 7.2 boards per contest.
 
Emma Mahady paces the Vulcans with 13.3 points per game. Glenn is next with 12.2 points and Elena Antonenko has tallied 8.4 points and 5.8 rebounds a game.
