Women's Basketball Travels to Tiffin for Tuesday Tilt

ERIE, Pa.- The Mercyhurst women's basketball team will head to Tiffin (Ohio) for a non-conference game on Tuesday, November 26. The contest is slated for a 6 p.m. start. 

The Lakers are 1-2 this season. Last week, they beat Seton Hill, 85-75, and then fell, 52-50, at Lake Erie College. Against the Griffins November 20, Alayna White and Adrienne Kloecker combined for 45 points and 16 rebounds, leading Mercyhurst to a win in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division opener. Freshman Mariah Penascino added 16 points and six assists.

At LEC November 23, Kloecker scored 20 points, including a tying jumper with 27 seconds remaining. The Storm hit two free throws with five seconds to pick up the win. Natalie Piaggesi posted eight points and nine boards for the Lakers.

On the season, Kloecker leads the team with 14.7 points per game. White is next with 13.3 points and 9.7 rebounds per contest, while Piaggesi is putting up 12 points 10 boards a game. 

Tiffin is 2-1 this year, including a loss to Cedarville on November 23. Katie Miller scored 22 points off the bench, while Bre Nauman had 17 points and eight rebounds for the Dragons. Miller and Nauman are two of four Dragons averaging double-digit points this season.
