MILLERSVILLE, Pa.- The Mercyhurst field hockey team lost, 4-0, at #2 Millersville Wednesday afternoon. Jess Wess made 10 saves in goal in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) game.
 
Millersville scored 1:56 into the game and held a 1-0 edge for much of the first half. The Marauders added a second goal at the 27:13 mark. Sarah Bomberger made it 3-0 early in the second period and then scored again in the 56^th minute to close the action.
 
Wess recorded 10 saves. Meghan Smith put two shots on goal, while Blair Pembleton had another shot saved.
 
Mercyhurst dropped to 4-6 overall and 0-3 in the conference. Millersville is now 9-0 overall and 4-0 in the PSAC. The Lakers play at IUP on Saturday, October 12, in another PSAC match.
