The Lakers fell to 13-4 overall in the season while the Senators improved to 10-4-1. Before the loss, the Lakers had won seven straight dating back to the 2-1 win over Bloomsburg on October 5.

Davis & Elkins wasted no time putting the pressure on early in the first half after scoring their first goal against the Lakers at the 6:58 mark. James Pucci scored the goal to give his team the 1-0 advantage. He was assisted by Hasika Wjegunawarden.

The Senators scored against Lakers goaltender Nicholas Smith at the 34:35 mark of the first half. Mason Carle received a pass from Pucci in the offensive zone to make the score 2-0 before halftime.

Freshman Danny Deakin scored his 11th goal of the season at the 58:02 mark of the contest. Junior Fernando Martinez collected his 12th assist of his season.

Despite attempting 12 shots on net to the Senators four, Mercyhurst could not find a way past Davis & Elkins goaltender Cameron Rivera.

The Lakers return to Erie, Pa. to host cross-town rival Gannon University at the Mercyhurst Soccer Field. Mercyhurst looks to capture their second straight PSAC regular season title with the victory. The match is set for 2:00 p.m.
