SHIPPENSBURG, Pa.- The Mercyhurst field hockey team lost, 8-0, at #1 Shippensburg Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Lakers dropped to 6-7 overall and 2-4 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC).

The Raiders led 2-0 at halftime and then tacked on six goals in the second half to remain unbeaten this season. Jess Wess recorded six saves, while Mercyhurst attempted six shots on goal. Meghan Smith put two shots on goal. Kristen Rambo made two saves in goal, making her second appearance of the 2013 season.

The Lakers host Mansfield in another PSAC contest on Wednesday, October 23. The match is scheduled for a 4 p.m. start at Tullio Field.
