Women's Basketball Plays at #19 Indiana (Pa.) Saturday

ERIE, Pa.- The Mercyhurst women's basketball team plays at #19 Indiana (Pa.) Saturday, January 26. The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division game is slated for a 5:30 p.m. at the Kovalchick Complex.

Mercyhurst is 5-11 overall and 5-7 in the PSAC. It lost, 59-43, at #10 Gannon Wednesday. Alayna White had 10 points and seven rebounds in the loss. On the season, Kaylee Foster leads the team with 10.7 points per game.
 
Dana Banda is averaging 10.3 points. She moved into third place on the all-time assists list at Mercyhurst. Banda has 357 assists, going ahead of Denise Baginski, who played from 1991-95. Katie Lorincz is the career leader with 384 helpers. Banda can next pass Teresa Szumigala, who has 362 assists, on the all-time list.
 
IUP lost, 73-62, at Edinboro Wednesday. The defeat dropped the Crimson Hawks to 13-5 overall and 8-4 in the conference. Amy Fairman had a career game, scoring 17 points to go along with six rebounds and five steals. Sarah Pastorek paces the Hawks with 13.8 points and 5.5 boards per game. She is also shooting 81.6 percent from the foul line.
