SHIPPENSBURG, Pa.- The Mercyhurst field hockey team lost, 7-0, at #2 Shippensburg Tuesday afternoon. Seven different Raiders scored in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division match.
 
Shippensburg came out firing, scoring first-half goals. In the game, the hosts outshot the Lakers, 34-5. Jess Wess made 13 saves in net, while Jessica Richards posted five.
 
Mercyhurst dropped to 2-7 overall and 1-4 in the conference.
 
The Lakers host their next three contests, beginning with Kutztown on Friday, September 28. The PSAC crossover game is set for a 4 p.m. start.
