Patton Becomes Career Wins Leader as Volleyball Wins Twice

INDIANA, Pa.- The Mercyhurst volleyball team beat Charleston and Seton Hill Saturday afternoon at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC)/West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WVIAC) Crossover, hosted by Indiana (Pa.). With victory number 120, Coach Ryan Patton became the career wins leader at Mercyhurst with the win over Seton Hill.

Against Charleston, the Lakers won 3-2, by scores of 25-19, 22-25, 25-22, 22-25, and 15-11. The win tied Patton with Elaine Ruggiero on the all-time wins list at Mercyhurst.

In the win over Seton Hill, the Lakers swept by scores of 25-20, 25-22, and 25-21. Patton improved to 120-109 in his eighth year at the helm of the program.

Mercyhurst has now won 11 straight matches after falling in the season opener. It heads to Ursuline on Tuesday, September 18, for a non-league contest.
