ERIE, Pa.- The Mercyhurst women's basketball team hosts #2 Edinboro Wednesday evening at the Mercyhurst Athletic Center. The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division contest marks senior night for four Lakers. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.

Hurst dropped both of its games last week, falling out of contention for the PSAC Tournament. It lost, 67-47, at #19 Gannon on February 15, and then fell, 65-60, to California (Pa.) at home on February 18. Dana Banda totaled 33 points in the two losses.
 
The Lady Scots continued their stellar play, defeating #21 Indiana (Pa.) and Clarion last week to improve to 24-0 overall. Raven Metz made 11 steals and Renee Brown scored 22 points as Boro won at Clarion, 72-60.
 
Mercyhurst enters Wednesday's matchup with an 11-13 overall record and a 9-11 PSAC mark. Senior Nikki Frederickson leads the Lakers with 13.1 points and 6.4 rebounds per game while shooting 58 percent from the field. Banda has recorded double figures in eight of her last 10 outings, upping her season average to 9.6 points.
 
Edinboro is unbeaten and ranked second in the latest WBCA Top 25 poll. It has won 33 straight regular season contests and 31 consecutive PSAC games dating back to last season. Four Scots are scoring at least 10.3 points a game, led by Kiara Brown at 14.9 points. Samantha Blazetic is posting 14.5 points, 6.6 boards, and is shooting 58.2 percent from the floor. The Scots lead the nation in assists per game and turnover margin and are second in scoring margin and steals a contest.
 
In first meeting of the season, Boro won, 71-41, at the McComb Fieldhouse on January 25. The Scots forced 40 turnovers in the win.
