WINTER PARK, Fla.- The Mercyhurst women's basketball team has made the trip south to Winter Park, Florida, for two non-conference games at The Tangerine Classic. The Lakers face host and 23rd-ranked Rollins College on Saturday, December 30, at 5 p.m. and then take on Cedarville (Ohio) the following day with a 7 p.m. tip-off.

Mercyhurst sports a 2-5 record, having lost at Shippensburg and Millersville December 18-19. Senior Kaylee Foster leads the team with 12.9 points per game, while Dana Banda is averaging 10.1 points, four rebounds, and 1.9 steals per contest.
 
Rollins is 6-2 this season after advancing to the NCAA Elite Eight in 2011-12. The Tars beat Warner, 81-38, in their last outing on December 8. Ashley Jones is scoring 12.9 points per game and Sarah Blackburn is putting up 11.5 points and 7.1 rebounds.
 
Cedarville has a 7-3 overall record. After winning six straight to start the season, the Yellow Jackets have lost three of their last four games. Kayla Jenerette leads the team with 14.1 points per game, having made 22 three-pointers in 10 games.
 
The Lakers have never faced Rollins or Cedarville in program history. The matches mark the end of Mercyhurst's non-conference schedule. It will play 17 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) games to round out the regular season.
