Men's Hoops Travels to Ship, Millersville for PSAC Games

ERIE, Pa.- The Mercyhurst men's basketball team travels to Shippensburg and Millersville for two Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) crossovers this week. The Lakers play at Shippensburg on Tuesday, December 18, and then at Millersville the following day. Both games are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. tip-offs.

Mercyhurst is 5-3 in 2012-13, including a three-game winning streak. It defeated Lock Haven, 68-50, on December 8. Luis Leao led with 22 points and eight rebounds and Jonathan Ouegnin recorded seven points, nine boards, four assists, and four steals.
 
Ship has a 2-5 overall record and an 0-3 PSAC mark. It has dropped four in a row entering this week. The Raiders fell, 68-63, to Kutztown on December 8. Dylan Edgar paced the team with 24 points and 12 rebounds.
 
Millersville has a 7-2 mark and a 3-0 conference record. The Marauders come into the week with a seven-game winning streak. They beat Bloomsburg, 62-49, on December 8, in their last outing. Anthony Coleman scored 19 points, while Brandon Belt added 13.
 
Leao leads the Lakers with 19.8 points and 6.1 rebounds. He ranks third in the PSAC in scoring. Ouegnin is averaging 8.3 points, 4.8 boards, 3.9 assists, and two steals per game. As a team, Mercyhurst is allowing 62.4 points per game, fourth-fewest in the league.
 
Joe Lococo is the Raiders' top scorer with 13.3 points per contest. Edgar is putting up 12.6 points and 7.4 rebounds per.
 
Millersville is led by Larry Grant and Elijah Obade. Grant is posting 16.9 points and 3.4 assists per games and Obade is averaging 15.8 points and 14.1 rebounds. His rebound total of 127 paces the PSAC.
