Box Score ERIE, Pa. - The Mercyhurst women's soccer team fell to Gannon University, 2-0 in its season finale Sunday afternoon.  The Lakers finish their season with a 7-10-1 overall record, and 3-10-1 in the conference.  Gannon finished its regular season 13-3-1 overall, and 10-3-1 in the PSAC.
 
The first half of the match was scoreless, as Gannon outshot the Lakers nine to four.  The Golden Knights also led in corners, three to one. 
 
Five minutes into the second, Gannon scored the first goal of the match at 50:21.  Freshman Mani Brueckner scored her tenth goal of the season when she beat a Laker defender and placed the ball into the left corner of the net.  Gannon would score again six minutes later, when Michelle Genetin scored her seventh goal of the season when she was one on one with Mercyhurst goaltender Ellie McDougall. 
 
The Lakers were outshot 21 to seven in the match.  Gannon also had a 7-2 corner kick advantage.
 
McDougall finished her freshman season 5-8-0 in net for the Lakers.  She made five saves against Gannon.  Goaltender Maggie Brinkman stopped two of the Lakers' shots, and improved to 6-1-1.
