Sten Marcson led the Lakers to a 4-1 victory over Salem International on Wednesday afternoon. The Lakers improve to 7-4-1 overall this season.

The Lakers started the second half strong when Senior
Alex Manea scored his seventh goal of the season. He received a pass from sophomore
Sam Dorf 15 yards from the goal, where he took a left footed shot to float the ball over the goaltender. Eight minutes later, Marcson would score the game-winning goal from a penalty kick.
At 69:14, senior
Austin Solomon stretched the lead when he received a through pass. Solomon was one on one with the goaltender when his first shot was blocked, then he recovered his own rebound and placed the ball in the net. Marcson scored his second goal of the night at 83:55, off of a corner kick taken by
Ewan Sharp.
The Tigers would score their only goal of the match off of a penalty kick taken by Dwayne Phidd at 75:52.
Sarkkinen (1-0-0) played the entire 90:00 in net for the Lakers, making seven saves. Tigers goaltender Elliot Cook made four saves playing the entire 90:00 in net.
The Lakers travel to Urbana, Ohio to take on Urbana University Saturday, October 13. The match is set for 3 p.m.
