Mercyhurst is 8-9 overall and 6-7 in the conference. It lost, 71-41, at #3 Edinboro January 28.  It was a fourth straight loss for the Lakers, who had gone 8-1 in their previous nine outings. Cal lost, 72-69 in overtime, at Clarion January 25. Danielle Luckett scored 22 points and grabbed seven rebounds in the loss.

Hurst is tied with Lock Haven for fifth in the division. A win Saturday would put the Lakers one game behind Cal for fourth place. The Vulcans will be looking to increase their hold on the final conference tournament spot.

Nikki Frederickson leads the Lakers with 12.4 points and 6.8 boards per game. Amy Johns is second in the PSAC with 17.8 points a game. She also averages 6.8 rebounds per contest.
