ERIE, Pa.- The Mercyhurst field hockey team lost to top-ranked Bloomsburg, 5-0, Friday afternoon at Tullio Field. The Huskies led 2-0 at halftime before adding three more scores in the second frame.
 
Bloomsburg jumped out early, scoring in the eighth minute on a Nicole Bruce goal. The Huskies went on to outshoot the Lakers 12-1 in the first half. Midway through the second frame, Bloomsburg sealed the match with two goals in 56 seconds to go ahead 4-0.
 
Ashley Wiskup made nine saves in the loss. Hurst dropped to 3-2, while the Huskies are now 5-0.
