RALEIGH, N.C. -- Facing the seventh-ranked team in the NCAA II Atlantic Region, the Mercyhurst College men's tennis squad dropped an 8-1 decision at Shaw University.

Keith Whittingham at No. 1 singles was the lone winner for the Lakers.

Mercyhurst returns to the court on Tuesday against St. John Fisher College where they will begin a week of competition at Hilton Head, S.C.  Opponents include York College, Christopher Newport University and Marywood University.
