Hurst (2-4, 2-2 PSAC) won both of its games last weekend, defeating Kutztown and East Stroudsburg on December 3-4, respectively. In the 2011-12 home opener, the Lakers won 67-60 over the Golden Bears as Nikki Frederickson had career highs in points with 20 and rebounds with 11. The senior grabbed seven offensive boards and blocked three shots in 33 minutes.

The following day, Mercyhurst forced ESU into 27 turnovers in a 59-43 victory. Kaylee Foster scored 13 points on 5-8 shooting, while Frederickson added 12 points, six boards, and four steals. The turnover total is the most by a Laker opponent since January 21, 2006, when Lake Superior State coughed the ball up 27 times.

Mansfield enters the weekend 1-4 overall and 0-4 in the PSAC. The Mountaineers lost at home to Edinboro and Lock Haven before winning at Houghton November 29. Mansfield lost at California (Pa.) and Indiana (Pa.) last weekend. Mallory Moore is second in the league at 18.8 points per game. Julia Stevenson is averaging 14.6 points and 6.8 rebounds a game.

Bloomsburg is 6-2 overall and 2-2 in the conference. The Huskies won the PSAC Eastern Division in 2010-11, going 22-6 on the season. Mercyhurst gave Bloom one of those losses, as the Lakers won 75-64 on January 9 at the MAC. This year's team is led by guards Dana Wieller and Kelsey Gallagher. Wieller leads the PSAC in scoring at 19 points a contest. She has connected on 26 three-pointers, most in the league. Gallagher is ninth with almost 16 points per game. Alyssa Flanagan is averaging 5.4 assists per game, good for second in the league to this point. As a team, the Huskies have hit 69 triples, 22 more than the next PSAC squad.

Hurst is led in scoring by freshman Lindsay Stamp, who is seventh in the league at 16.6 points a game. Frederickson is shooting 57.1 percent from the field, fourth-best in the conference. Junior Dana Banda is fourth in the PSAC with five assists a contest and second in the conference with 3.7 steals per.
