WHEELING, W. Va.- The Mercyhurst volleyball team lost in three sets at Wheeling Jesuit Saturday afternoon. The Cardinals won by scores of 25-12, 25-17, and 25-6 in the non-conference match.
Hurst played the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WVIAC) power close in the opening game before Wheeling pulled away. In the second frame, the Lakers led 10-8 before the home team took control of the match.
Kiera Rebert led with 13 assists and
Elyse Texido posted 11 digs. Wheeling hit .415 as a team in the victory.
Mercyhurst travels to Slippery Rock on Friday, October 21, for a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division contest.
