ERIE, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst College men's and women's basketball teams hit the road Saturday for the first time in over a week. The Lakers make the quick trip down Interstate 79 to take on Slippery Rock in a PSAC West showdown.
The Mercyhurst men look to capture their fifth-straight and snap Slippery Rock's perfect home record in Morrow Fieldhouse. The Lakers have not defeated SRU on its home court since joining the PSAC two years ago.
Meanwhile, the women look for their sixth win in their last seven contests. The two teams are even in the all-time series as PSAC members, with each team winning on their home court in 2008-09 and each team winning on the road a year ago.
Tip-off for the women's contest is set for 1 p.m., with the men's game to immediately follow.
