ELKINS, W. Va. -- Dean Atkins registered two goals and Sam Gore added another to give Mercyhurst College a 3-1 win at Davis & Elkins Saturday afternoon.  

The Lakers rushed out to a 3-0 lead before halftime and never were truly threatened.   Max Smidinger scored the lone goal for the Senators.

Mercyhurst improves to 4-0-1, 1-0-1 in the PSAC and returns to action on Tuesday when it hosts Lake Erie in another non-conference matchup.
