WEST LIBERTY, W. Va. – The Lakers competed this afternoon in the finals of the Topper Classic. 

Omar Ammouni played in the No. 4 singles final spot for the Lakers. He was defeated by E. Guseus of West Virginia Wesleyan, 6-1, 6-3. 

After losing in his singles match, Ammouni and his partner, Adam Marnik defeated Sanchez/Marchrzak of Bloomfield State, 8-6 in the No. 2 doubles final. 

Also competing for the Lakers in the No. 1 doubles final was Keith Whittingham and Jorn Van der Veer. They were defeated by D. Slocum/P. Moras of Millersville, 8-6. 

Spencer Kilpatrick/ Eric Drusko lost their consolation final to Smith/Gautam of West Virginia Wesleyan, 8-3. 

The Lakers are scheduled to face Alleghany College Sept. 14.
