Diego Gustin recorded a save in his only real threat of the stanza.
In the second, the neither team posted a shot on goal and Mercyhurst held the edge in shots at 3-1.
The Lakers held the lead and possession for a majority of the game after striking quickly to open the contest.
Alex Manea found the back of the net at 13:15 after rifling a shot from the touch of
Dean Atkins.
Mercyhurst had great possessions in the first half and the defense limited the Bald Eagles to just two shots in the opening stanza. However, in the second half Lock Haven registered three corner kicks and six shots.
Next up for the fourth-ranked Lakers is a non-conference tilt at Molloy on Oct. 15. Game-time is set for 2 p.m.
