Lakers Fall to Glenville State

Glenville, W. Va. – Mercyhurst softball dropped a 3-2 decision Sunday to host institution Glenville State, ending their W. Va. tournament schedule with two wins and two losses, giving them a 7-7 season record. 

The Lakers lost to 3-2 to Glenville State, ending their brief two-game winning streak, as Mercyhurst defeated Davis and Elkins 10-2 Friday before downing West Liberty State 12-1 Saturday. Kristi Janoske suffered the loss against the Pioneers, and her season record fell to 5-3. Mercyhurst's game against Ohio Valley, scheduled for 4 p.m. Sunday, was cancelled due to adverse weather conditions. 

Mercyhurst will play five games Friday, March 20 through Sunday, March 22 at the Salem International tournament in Salem, Va. Mercyhurst will open play Friday against Seton Hill and Charleston and will finish their games in Salem, Va. Sunday, March 22 versus W. Va. Wesleyan.
